He and his wife Tracey fled on January 7, 2025 as flames came over the ridge; their home of 12+ years was destroyed by the Eaton Fire the next day — so fast he couldn't grab the photo equipment he had pre-staged, and he lost irreplaceable David Lynch memorabilia and costumes. His son-in-law Michael Anspach ran a GoFundMe ($75k+ of $90k), and Twin Peaks co-star Adele Jones organized clothing donations for the 7-foot-tall actor, who needed custom tall-sized clothes.
