Additional Information

Hansen was in Las Vegas for CES, more than 200 miles from home, when the Eaton Fire reached Altadena on January 7, 2025. His neighbour Bob — who was at the same time evacuating his brother, who is blind and uses a wheelchair — alerted him in time for his cats to be rescued. Both houses were destroyed. He later walked in from the roadblocks with his girlfriend and friends to film the ruins, sifting through what was left of his computers, appliances and lemon trees, and closed the video: 'I say goodbye to this chapter of my life, I guess on to the next one.'
